During wintertime one of the core activities in Bramberg am Wildkogel is of course skiing and snowboarding. There are three ski-area’s nearby: Wildkogel Arena, Zillertal Arena and Kitzbüheler Alphen.
The Gondola Lift "Smaragdbahn" was built in 2010 with the support of the local community. The valley station is located at the bottom of the Smaragdresort at about 100m from the Chalet. In the Wildkogel Arena you will find 61km of pistes at your disposal. The downhill ski slope passes straight by the Chalet; it really is ski-in ski-out!
The larger ski-area lays about 5 car minutes away; with the ”Panoramabahn” you will arrive in the ski-area "Kitzbüheler Alpen". Here you will find an impressive 200km of slopes.
This ski area is not included in the Wildkogel Ski Card. You need an additional day card or the Super Ski Card.

There is also 45km of trails for cross-country skiers, information at the Tourist Information Centre.
Another fun activity is sledging downhill the 14km long Toboggan. You take the Smaragdbahn to the Wildkogel’s summit from where you sledge down the route about 1300 altimeters. The ride will take 30 to 50 minutes. The Toboggan is lit up until 22.00 hours. The Smaragdbahn is also opened at Tuesday and Friday night. You will find more information at the Smaragdbahn register.
In wintertime you can of course also take a walk, go hiking, make a snowshoe-hike, observe the wildlife being fed, go to the Museum or take a dive in the swimming pool. You can find plenty of information in the Chalet or at the Tourist Information Centre.
With the National Park Wintercard, free available from season 2021-2022, you can enjoy various activities during the winterseason.
